About Me

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. My name is Doug Thigpen. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and the founder of Find Your Path, LLC.

I named my practice Find Your Path because I believe that no two journeys look the same. Each of us faces challenges in life that will not look like anyone else’s. Your solutions, that will not only solve the problem but also give you a sense of pride and fulfillment, will also be unique to you. My role is not to hand you answers, but to walk alongside you as you uncover solutions that feel right for you and your life.

I’m privileged to be as engaged with my community through my work as I get to be. I have enjoyed each role in which I get to be a part of a bigger whole, including when I achieved becoming an Eagle Scout in my youth and also volunteering for crisis hotlines in my education of treating mental health. I have also enjoyed the distinguished honor of becoming the New Mexico State Chess Champion for three separate years: 2009, 2012, and 2013. I continue to enjoy playing chess and even coach chess when I’m not working in this practice.
