Mission Statement

At Find Your Path LLC, our mission is to empower our clients to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. We provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where clients can explore their struggles, discover their strengths, and create meaningful change. Guided by respect and collaboration, we help each person find their own path toward growth and fulfillment.

Our Services

Trauma

Sometimes in life we go through horrific experiences that force us to reshape how to see the world. The damage that we’re forced to cope with is not just in the experience, which can be extensive, but also in healing from the aftermath. In working with trauma, I specialize in two different approaches: cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and prolonged exposure therapy (PET).

Depression

What can make depression so pernicious is not only the dimmed energy and motivation that typically come with it, but also the sense of loneliness that its sufferers usually experience. I would like to help you navigate this shadowy condition. You are not alone.

Anxiety

When our thoughts and deepest fears run away from us untethered, anxiety is often the result. We might oscillate from a deep-set conviction that our worst case scenario will come true and an uncertainty that our thoughts aren’t just snowballing farther and farther from reality. I would like to help you recognize and befriend your thoughts, so they don’t have to be your worst enemy.

Anger Management

Our emotions, including anger, are valid. Yet, we will often express our emotions in a way that can worsen our problems. I’d like to help you recognize and befriend your emotions and also learn new ways to express them in a way that will be helpful, rather than harmful.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Sometimes when we experience overwhelming anxiety, we will find ways to cope by practicing or avoiding specific behaviors. When we rely on this as routine, these behaviors may paradoxically make life harder, especially when our anxiety continues to stay persistently high. I’d like to help you cope with the pattern as a whole, with the help of an approach called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) that can help us learn to accept and tolerate what may be intolerable right now.

Couples Counseling

You and your partner may find yourselves in the same patterns time and time again that have been stressful and frustrating for both of you. Both of you may very well want things to be different, nobody likes being stuck in these cycles. Yet, both of you may feel you’ve tried everything under the sun trying to change things between you and nothing seems to have worked. I’d like to help you and your partner learn new ways to hear each other, to learn a new mutual compassion, and to break the old, tired cycles that have been unhelpful for both of you.

Substance Abuse and Addiction

One of the hardest parts of gaining and keeping our sobriety is not just in quitting our substance of choice – extremely challenging as that is – but also in finding new ways to cope with underlying problems. Often people participate in their drug of choice as a means of managing something more painful. When that substance stops, so does our primary means of handling the pain. I’d like to help you gain and keep your sobriety and to help you find the new you that will come after.

Grief

When we grieve, we often have such little idea of what to expect. “Everyone grieves differently,” is a wise adage that is equal parts and sometimes confusing for the bereaved, due to the lack of predictability in our emotions. I would like to help you to navigate the tumultuous currents of grief, both in understanding and expressing it.
